Making rehoming and reunion less stressful

PawConnect started from a simple observation: the animals that need help are not short of people who care. They are short of a place where those people can find each other without wading through noise.

Why another pet app?

Most lost-pet posts disappear into a social feed within hours. Most adoption listings ask for a phone number before anyone has said hello. Both problems are about the same thing: a listing needs to be found by the right person, and a conversation needs to start safely.

PawConnect makes two things work properly. Adoption listings stay discoverable by district and species, and enquiries happen inside the app, so contact details are shared deliberately rather than published. Lost & found reports follow the same idea, with an expiry that keeps the board honest.

How adoption works

  1. An owner publishes a listing. Species, age, location and an honest description, plus a photo that has been processed to remove location metadata.
  2. Someone interested sends an enquiry. No phone number is required to start. The conversation opens inside PawConnect.
  3. The owner decides. They can reply, keep the listing available, or mark the animal as adopted and share the outcome as a success story.

How lost & found works

  1. Report what happened. Lost or found, the species, the district, the date, and the details that would identify the animal.
  2. The report stays visible for a limited period. Reports are not permanent, so the board does not fill with pets who went home months ago.
  3. Resolution is moderated. Someone who believes they have found a match can ask for a report to be resolved. A person reviews the request rather than an automated match deciding for you.
